Once upon a time, in a small village near a hill. In the village, there was a family who had a farm and raised a beautiful rooster, whose crowing was the loudest in the area. The rooster was very much loved by the owner because thanks to it, he always woke up on time. Every day, he rewarded it with a little rice. All the animals on the farm loved the rooster.
One day, out of curiosity, the rooster flew away from the farm and went to the hill to look for interesting things. It flew to the edge of the forest near the hill and unfortunately got stuck in the bamboo bush near the house. It struggled and then died in the bamboo bush.
Because the bamboo bush at the foot of the hill was the place where the rooster’s spirit could not escape. After a long time, the rooster saw no one looking for him, and his soul could not be released, causing him to feel heavy resentment. The rooster’s resentment grew even more when he thought about what he had helped the farm and the beautiful days when he was still on the farm. Gradually, the rooster’s soul turned into a spirit and came to harass the villagers.
At first, it just wandered around the streets screaming and scaring people. But over time, its resentment grew and its hatred for its boss grew. Its evil spirit grew stronger and it found a way to go to its previous boss’s house and destroy the farm and his family.
The family of the rooster’s owner invited many high-level shamans to perform exorcisms, but they were unable to drive the rooster’s spirit away. The rooster became more and more aggressive, and its evil power grew stronger, causing the owner’s family to be devastated.
One day, a handsome scholar passed through this small village. Seeing the desolate scene of the village, surrounded by mountains and forests, the scholar looked for a place to stay for the night.
The scholar walked around the village and saw a desolate house when it was already dark. He knocked on the door and it was a house haunted by a rooster. The house was cold and desolate, the owner’s family was desolate because of the rooster’s destruction. Seeing this, the scholar asked about the family. The farmer’s family told him that in the past, this area was very peaceful, his house was very warm and his farm was doing well. But in recent months, a demon appeared out of nowhere, harassing the villagers. It was always rampant and destroyed his house, causing his farm to be ruined. Even though he invited many high-level shamans, he could not drive this demon away.
Knowing the story, the scholar immediately asked to stay alone in the farmer’s house for a night. The farmer was very worried about the scholar and advised him to stay. But the scholar insisted on his request, so the farmer had to accept.
As soon as the sun had set, night fell. Creepy sounds began to appear in the village. The house he was staying in suddenly became unusually cold, but the scholar did not panic. He just continued to light candles all over the house and took out books to read attentively. The demons saw the scholar in the house and immediately clicked their tongues, thinking that they were easy to bully, so they began to use their magic to wreak havoc.
But no matter how hard he tried, the demon still could not move the scholar. He just focused on reading his book and no matter how much the demon tried to scare him, he could not distract him. It tried to possess the scholar, but because the scholar had high potential, it could not do anything to him.
Thinking of all the ways to use magic but failing, he came up with a plan to seduce the young scholar. He transformed himself into a beautiful schoolgirl and came to his house to seduce him.
She knocked on the scholar’s door, speaking flirtatiously to seduce him. But quickly the scholar discovered something was wrong, grabbed her hand tightly and shouted loudly.
Hey, why haven’t you shown your true colors yet? Who are you to dare to cause trouble here? If you have committed any crime, then quickly show your true colors. Tell me what happened. If I can help you, I will.
Being held tightly by the Scholar, the demon’s magic was weakened and he could not transform. Because he was an upright and chivalrous person, the Scholar’s aura and inner strength were so strong that the demon could not escape.
Love but had to tell the story that it was originally a chicken that unfortunately died in a bamboo bush. Because it helped the farm sound the alarm every day, when it died in the bamboo bush and no one came to look for it, it was resentful.
Knowing the situation, the scholar agreed to help the chicken’s soul to be liberated and asked it to show him where it died. The next day, the scholar told the story to the farm owner. The farm owner, half-believing, led people to cut down the bamboo bush. From the bamboo bush, people saw an intact rooster’s body. The owner, following the scholar’s advice, cremated the rooster’s body. After witnessing everything, following the scholar’s advice, the owner actively did good deeds, released animals and reduced killing. The village returned to peace as before, and the farm owner’s house also returned to warmth and happiness.
