Here is my Wisdom

In the past, tigers did not have stripes like they do now, but were just yellow all over their bodies, and buffaloes still had their teeth. At that time, the jungle was vast and stretched to the fields of humans.

In a certain forest, there was a tiger who was the king of his own forest. Because he had been in his own territory for a long time, he felt very bored. One day, he wanted to go here and there to look for new and interesting things. He heard the animals in the forest say that behind his dense forests, there were vast rice fields where a small man was the master. He was very curious and wanted to go and see.

The next day, the Tiger decided to go out of the forest. From the edge of the forest, he saw the vast fields of humans as the animals had said. But he saw a very strange scene and it made him curious and stopped to watch for a long time. A farmer and a buffalo were plowing in the field. He saw the buffalo diligently plowing step by step, and every now and then he was whipped on the butt, this made the Tiger extremely surprised that such a big buffalo could be beaten and forced to do such hard work by a small person.

So, he patiently sat and watched, until noon, when the buffalo was resting, the tiger approached. Seeing the tiger, the buffalo was extremely frightened, but because it was tied tightly, it could not go anywhere. Only then did the tiger speak up and ask the buffalo, “Don’t be afraid, I just want to ask you a question. Why do you look so big and strong, yet you let a small human beat you so miserably?”

Only then did the buffalo regain its composure. It told the tiger to come closer to its ear and whisper so that humans would not hear. The buffalo only softly replied into the tiger’s ear, “Although humans are small, they are intelligent.”

Hearing that, Tiger was very curious about this thing called “intelligence”, not understanding how it could be so powerful. Buffalo also did not know how to explain so he told Tiger that if he wanted to know more, he should ask humans, if he had intelligence like them, he would not have been beaten like that.

Hearing that, the tiger agreed and went to the farmer to ask because he was very curious about that thing called “intelligence”. He approached the farmer and shouted loudly: “Hey man, I heard that humans have intelligence, so where is your intelligence? Take it out and let me see it.”

The farmer was initially scared when he saw the tiger, but he calmed down. After thinking for a while, he said to the tiger, “My wisdom is at home. If you need it, I can give you some.”

The tiger was happy to hear that and urged the farmer to return home. He thought, a small human being with no intelligence is already very formidable. I am this big, if I only have a little more intelligence, all creatures will have to respect me. At this time, the farmer thought of a way to teach the tiger a lesson to remember for life. The farmer hesitated and pretended to be hesitant, making the tiger impatiently ask: “Why haven’t you left yet? Or don’t you want to show me? I just need you to show me a little bit of intelligence and then I will return.”

At this moment, the farmer loudly said, “I have a lot of intelligence at home, but if I go home, what if you take the opportunity to eat my buffalo?”

Hearing that, the tiger felt confused and could only mumble in reply: “I am the king of the jungle. I promise I will not eat your buffalo.”

The farmer quickly said, “How about this? Let me tie you to this tree until I return. Then I will feel at ease. When I return, I can give you some wisdom to use at night.”

The tiger was so happy to hear that he was being given wisdom that he quickly agreed. The farmer quickly tied the tiger tightly around the tree. The farmer just quietly searched for straw and firewood around.

The tiger was curious and asked why he hadn’t gone home yet. The farmer just silently piled straw and firewood around the place where the tiger was tied.

When he had enough straw and firewood, he lit a fire. He shouted loudly, “Here is my wisdom, here is my wisdom.”

The tiger suddenly screamed in pain. The buffalo saw the tiger being burned by the farmer and rolled over laughing happily. Unfortunately, his upper teeth hit a rock and broke.

The fire burned the Tiger’s fur, then the fire broke the rope, the Tiger ran into the forest and did not dare to look back.

From then on, the Tiger’s body always had black stripes from the fire, and the yellow fur that was not burned was the mark left by the rope. As for the buffalo, its upper jaw teeth never grew back.
